Los Angeles: `Born to Run` rocker Bruce Springsteen will appear alongside Bill Clinton at an event to help support US President Barack Obama`s re-election campaign.
The 63-year-old will join Clinton at a campaign rally in Parma, Ohio on October 18. Following that appearance, he will head to Ames, Iowa, for another event. Springsteen campaigned extensively for Obama in 2008, but this is his first appearance for the president on the 2012 campaign trail, said a leading daily. Organizers have yet to release details on what sort of performances Springsteen will deliver. "Bruce Springsteen`s values echo what the President and Vice President stand for: hard work, fairness, integrity. His appearances will help with our get out the vote effort in these critical swing states and we are thrilled with his ongoing support," said Jim Messina, Obama for America`s campaign manager. PTI
