Mumbai: After the success of John Abraham-Nana Patekar starrer `Taxi No 9211`, which borrowed heavily from life in Mumbai, director Milan Luthria is coming out with two more film on the city.
First up is `Once Upon a Time in Mumbai`, a romantic action film starring Ajay Devgn, Emran Hashmi and Kangana Ranaut, that deals with the origin of the Mafia scene in Mumbai during the seventies and eighties. The film, where Devgn is reportedly playing Haji Mastan, the first `celebrity don` of India, is expected to release around the end of July. It would be later followed by a fast paced action thriller which would, once again, be based on the city of Mumbai, a source close to the director said. The solo hero movie will be produced by Kumar Mangat. The rest of the star cast of the movie will be announced shortly. Interestingly, even though Luthria loves making films on Mumbai, he considers the beautiful city of Pune to be lucky for him. "So much so, that he takes off to Pune every time he`s scripting a film," the source said. The director had earlier made films like `Kachche Dhaage` (1999) and the multi-starrer dud `Deewaar`. PTI
