Mumbai: Rock legends Guns N` Roses had fans grooving to their tunes in entertainment capital Mumbai during their maiden India tour.
Thousands of fans assembled at the city`s MMRDA grounds for the concert, which saw the band belt out widely popular numbers like ‘Sweet Child of Mine’, ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ and ‘November Rain’ among others on late Sunday evening.
The concert saw television and movie stars in attendance; all enthusiastic at the concert to see the music legends perform before their eyes.
"(It was) amazing. How can you not like Guns N` Roses? Finally, after so many years, (it was) a great experience," said Bollywood film producer Ritesh Sidhwani.
Member of Parliament Milind Deora, tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi, filmmaker-actor-singer Farhan Akhtar were seen at the concert, apart from Bollywood actors Sanjay Dutt, Lara Dutta, Zarine Khan among others.
"I have always been a huge fan of theirs. This is the first time they are performing in India and in Mumbai, so I just cannot wait to go in and watch their performance," Khan said.
Guns N` Roses opened their first-ever India tour on December 07 in southern Bangalore city. They will perform their last concert of the tour on Wednesday (December 12) in Gurgaon adjoining the national capital.
The band`s current lineup for the India tour comprises frontman Axl Rose, guitarists Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal, DJ Ashba and Richard Fortus, bassist Tommy Stinson, drummer Frank Ferrer and keyboardist Chris Pitman.
Guns N` Roses found fame in the 1980s with hits like ‘Appetite for Destruction’ and ‘Paradise City’ but the original line-up broke up in the 1990s after a feud between Rose and guitarist Slash.
