Mumbai: It was a perfect occasion to let your hair down for cast and crew members of Puneet Malhotra’s ‘I Hate Luv Storys’, who recently held a wild wrap-up party for their upcoming release in New Zealand, which was nearly busted by the cops. Talking to a news daily, a close source said, “On the last day of the shoot in New Zealand we had a wrap up party in one of the hotel rooms. Puneet played songs from his Ipod and everyone danced on the latest Bollywood numbers. We played ‘Pappu can’t dance’ for Imran and most of choreographer Bosco’s songs.” “Everybody including the assistant directors, hair stylists and make-up artists were in high spirits and let their hair down on the dance floor. Imran and Sonam also did a jig on the dining table, which had everyone in splits. The party went on in full swing till the wee hours of morning till the cops suddenly came and stopped the party.” “We were shooting in Queenstown, which is a very quiet place and everything shuts down early except the bars. There was a residential area right next to our hotel. The residents must have complained about the loud music. The cops told us to continue having a party but in a club. We tried lowering the loud music but it wasn’t much fun. So the entire unit consisting of 40 people took cabs and headed to a bar where we partied till 7 am. The dhamaal didn’t end there because Sonam and a few crew members went skydiving after the party,” said the source. Even as Imran and Sonam were unavailable for comment, debutant director Puneet Malhotra confirmed the reports and said, “Yes the party did happen, but it wasn’t a big deal.”
