Hookah bar incident: TV serial bahu’s identity revealed!

Mumbai: In the hookah bar raid and consequent arrests that took place yesterday, it had earlier been reported that an actress from a famous TV serial was present. The arrested actress is Jiaa Manek, aka Gopi Bahu, of ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ fame. ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’, a popular serial that airs on a leading entertainment channel, is known for Jiaa Manek – it’s Gopi Bahu – and vice versa. The dark underbelly of Mumbai was exposed yet again in a murky incident of a hookah bar raid and arrests. Among the twenty one arrested revelers, Jiaa Manek was the most well-known face. Though she had closely guarded her identity in the beginning and hurled obnoxious words at the media for trying to capture her image, her identity came to the fore later. Jiaa Manek is known for her portrayal of Gopi bahu on the serial, and is known to have won over the hearts of many people with her character. Gopi, an orphan girl, and her naiveté form the crux of the serial. An earlier raid by the police had seen prominent actor Vivek Oberoi in the throes of trouble. And this time, it is Jiaa Manek’s turn. What waits for us to watch is whether the naïve and demure Gopi Bahu will be able to redeem herself in the eyes of her fans or not.
