London: ‘Ocean`s Twelve’ star Catherine Zeta-Jones has donated a pair of her shoes to raise money for the search for missing schoolgirl April Jones.
The signed designer high heels will be put up for auction to raise funds to continue the search for the five-year-old, who hasn`t been seen for seven weeks, reported a website.
Family friend Vikki Macdonald said, "We wrote a letter to Catherine to ask for support. She kindly gave us the shoes which she wore for a premiere - these will be up for auction to help the April Jones Fund."
The 43-year-old actress is well-known for her charity work, serving as a patron of the The Noah`s Ark Appeal to raise money for medical treatment for ill children.
Her signed shoes and signed photograph are on auction at a special fundraising night in April`s home town of Machynlleth, mid Wales, later this month.
No trace has yet been found of April, despite a massive search by police, specialist teams, and hundreds of volunteers, as well as her heartbroken parents Coral and Paul.
Police confirmed that the search is currently on-going and they will be joined by mineshaft specialists to search caves and old quarry workings.
Former lifeguard Mark Bridger, 46, has been charged with April`s murder and counts of child abduction and perverting the course of justice.
