Ricky Martin says romance with Rebecca De Alba was ‘very real’

Washington: Ricky Martin, who admitted last year that he was gay, has revealed that his romance with Rebecca De Alba was “very real”.

The 39-year-old Puerto Rican singer has dismissed suggestions that his romance with the TV presenter was little more than an experiment to test his homosexuality. In Vh1’s Behind The Music, the singer admitted he was really in love with the 46-year-old Mexican model. “Sometimes you can’t explain what it is exactly that attracts you to someone, that amazing magnetism,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying. “Everything that I felt at that moment was pure. A lot of people might say, ‘Well, you were trying to justify yourself; maybe you were trying to prove yourself...’. “It is complicated... but, at that moment, it felt real; it felt amazing,” he added.
