When Khan avoided Khan

Mumbai: The cold war is not limited to the male Khans only and has spilled to the spouses also. At a recent event, Aamir Khan and Gauri Khan, wife of Shah Rukh Khan, royally ignored each other and did not even bother to exchange pleasantries! The occasion was 15 years of partnership of music composers Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and the trio threw a party for their industry friends at a suburban nightspot in Mumbai. Guests list including SRK as well as Aamir. While Aamir came to the party without wife Kiran, Gauri represented Shah Rukh. Eyewitnesses stated that Aamir and Gauri kept to their respective groups and avoided each other like the plague. Speaking to a daily, another eyewitness stated, “They were at the party at around the same time. It was very evident, especially since there were not many people at the bash, that they intentionally kept their distance and blatantly ignored each other.” Now, we all know that the things haven’t been pleasant between Aamir and SRK. In fact their so called war is almost a decade old. Both, SRK and Aamir, have always competed to be the best in the industry. Even though the two actors had joined hands in support of the Producers Guild against the multiplex owners in 2008, they have never been friends. And now it seems their cold war has spilled to their spouses as well. Both Aamir and Gauri remained unavailable for comment.
