Los Angeles: Actor Daniel Craig says he tried to inject some normalcy to the character of journalist Mikael Blomkvist in his forthcoming film `The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo`.
Craig, 43, who is famous for playing the flamboyant James Bond, has received postive reviews from critics for his portrayal of Blomkvist, Ace Showbiz reported.
"I wanted to look as much like a normal guy as possible. This guy is a journalist and he works very hard and maybe drinks a little too much, but when the thriller aspect of this movie kicks in, I wanted him to be in danger," he said.
Based on writer Stieg Larsson`s crime thriller trilogy `The Millenium Series`, the film unravels the mystery surrounding the long-unsolved disappearance of an heiress as a journalist recently dinged by a libel case and a young female hacker team up to resolve it, stirring up bundles of personal and industrial corruption along the way.
"Look, I`m a [director] David Fincher fan, so it was a easy choice to make when accepting this film. It`s a great story. It`s an adult movie. The babysitters are going to get, hopefully, a lot of money out of this film," he said.
