New York: Jennifer Aniston’s yoga instructor Mandy Ingber has offered the physical (and mental) health tips with which the actress has been able to maintain her fabulous figure.
“(Yoga) tones muscles and stretches and opens the body for more freedom and mobility,” Celebuzz quoted her as saying. “Connection to breath reduces stress and therefore increases health benefits,” she said. Milestone moments such as wedding days could be stressful enough without having to worry about working out. But yoga can help de-stress while also helping to get toned — making it a useful regimen leading up to the marriage altar. “Cardio is beneficial for the heart as well as for burning fat. “When you change the ratio of stored fat to lean muscle mass, your metabolism is increased and you burn more just standing in line at the grocery store check-out line,” she said. The yoga trainer and mastermind behind ‘Yogalosophy’ DVD and ‘Yogalosophy: 28 Day Mind Body Makeover’ has stressed on the importance of finding a workout that is tailored specifically for each individual. “I think people should choose what feels good to them and what motivates them. The idea of choosing one over the other isn’t really an issue,” she said. “Any exercise is good if you enjoy it. I personally believe that the way you do things and the attitude you have has a great effect on the result. “If you love full body movements, and connecting with your core as you move the overall body, then yoga just may be your thing. It’s surprisingly challenging,” she added. Aniston, who appears in Ingber’s Yogalosophy DVD, makes note of the drastic changes that regular yoga practice has had on her overall well-being. At 43-years-old, the former ``Friends’ star seems to be in the best shape of her life and only getting better with age. ANI
