London: Justin Bieber was rushed to hospital on Thursday after suffering breathing difficulties on stage at London`s O2 Arena.
The teen popstar was initially treated by doctors backstage for up to 15 minutes before returning to finish the show, the Mirror reported.
However, after the gig ended, he was taken to an undisclosed London hospital for a thorough medical examination.
Some fans at the arena claimed to have seen the 19-year-old faint and others believed he`d hit his head on a speaker.
However, the `Baby` hitmaker managed to leave the stage himself with help from staff and members of his management team.
Manager Scooter Braun calmed the worried crowd by telling them that Bieber had become "very light of breath".
The singer was treated with oxygen backstage and was advised to go straight to hospital - but insisted on finishing the last four songs first.
"He got oxygen from emergency personnel. He insisted on finishing the show. He is on the way to the hospital right now," a spokesperson said.
A source close to the Canadian star said he was "just very tired from a long week" and was in hospital "for precautionary reasons".
This is not the first time Bieber has collapsed on stage during a performance.
He previously suffered a concussion during a concert in Paris last June after falling into a glass wall.
