Google's latest Android N version can be named after this Indian sweet!

New Delhi: The newly-launched Android N version can be named after an Indian sweet Neyyappam, provided the name gathers the largest number of votes.

Google has featured Neyyappam, the dessert from Kerala, on the official Android website as one of the probable names of Android N. This is the first time that an Indian dessert name has made it to the list of possible names for Android versions.

The name of the new Android version would be chosen in an online poll. Google CEO Sundar Pichai had promised that there would be an online poll for deciding the name of Android N. The website https://www.android.com/versions/name-n/ allows anyone to participate and suggest a name for Android N, till 12.29 pm June 9, IST.
