Hyderabad: Tamil Cinema’s
Ilaya Thalapathy (young emperor) Vijay is all set to sizzle screens in Andhra Pradesh this Thursday as ‘Snehithudu’.
Vijay is currently relishing every moment of the success of ‘Nanban’ which happens to be a Tamil remake of Aamir Khan’s blockbuster ‘3 Idiots’ based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel ‘Five Point Someone’. And after raking in the moolah in Tamil Nadu and overseas, the third celluloid adaptation of the novel will be released on 26th January.
The audio of the film was launched on January 19 at Shilpa Kala Vedika, Hyderabad. The event was attended by Bollywood filmmaker and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Raju Hirani, Sharman Joshi, Ileana D’Cruz, Vijay, Srikanth, Sathyaraj, SJ Surya, music composer Harris Jayaraj and Oscar Award winning sound engineer Resul Pookutty. Veteran actor Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja was the special guest.
Talking to reporters at the event, Teja said, “I am glad that Vijay is doing this film. I was initially offered to do this movie, though I declined because I was not very confident whether I could fill the shoes of Aamir Khan. I am a big fan of Shankar sir ever since his movie, ‘Gentleman’. I hope this movie succeeds at the box office”.
Here’s wishing luck to our very own ‘Nanban’ aka ‘Snehithudu’.
