Mumbai: Goldie Behl is in the process of locking in on his third directorial venture and Abhihek Bachchan`s presence is a given."I can`t dream of making a film without him. He`s my brother," said Behl.
He says he doesn`t want to wait as long as he did between his first directorial undertaking ‘Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai’ (2001) and his second ‘Drona’ (2008) to make his third film.
"There was a gap of seven years between my first and second film. I got distracted by many things. I don`t want to wait at all to start my next film," said Behl who will launch the film sometime this year.
He recently announced a film starring Abhishek to be directed by Anurag Basu to be produced under his banner Rose Movies, saying that Basu`s film will go on floors next year.
The reason why Basu`s project has been moved forward is that he is busy with the pre-production of his film starring Ranbir Kapoor.
"That`s true. Anurag starts another film before he starts mine. That`s an important project for our banner because it is the first production from Rose Movies to be made by an outside director since my sister Shristi and I took over.
"If you remember, my father Ramesh Behl had started the banner by giving a chance to Ravi Nagaich to direct `The Train`. With Anurag Basu, we hope to carry forward the tradition of using promising directors. Anurag has come up with a wonderful concept," he said.
