Want to avail tax benefit on HRA? Generate rent receipts in these simple steps

New Delhi: Income tax return e-filing website Clear Tax has launched a free option of generating  rent receipts, a sure-shot instrument for availing House Rent Allowance and saving tax. All you have to do is to follow  these simple steps:

1) Go to the section 'Generate Rent Receipt for Tax Saving' on the Clear Tax website.

2) Enter details like your name, rent amount, address, the house-owner's/landlord's name, PAN card details, the duration for which the receipts are to be generated. 

3)The Rent Receipt Generator will generate the receipt, which can printed or downloaded.

4) The landlord of your rented accommodation will be more than happy to sign the genuine rent receipts!
