New Delhi: Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan hasn't been able to establish himself as a reliable top order batsman in Test format. Following injury to KL Rahul, the left-handed batsman was named in the final XI by Virat Kohli for the second Test against New Zealand at Eden Gardens.
With an in-form Gautam Gambhir being snubbed for Dhawan, Kohli was hoping for a much better performance from his opener but things didn't go as planned.
New Zealand's Matt Henry picked up his first wicket of the day in the very first over itself with Dhawan directing the ball towards his own stumps following an inside edge.

The Delhi batsman was out for just 1 run and twitter couldn't resist aiming a dig at him.

A biopic on Shikhar Dhawan will just be a montage of him wearing pads, going to the field and coming back immediately, played in a loop.

Why the hell you would play an out of form Shikhar Dhawan instead of in form Gautam Gambhir ?? Obviously politics. Feel bad for GG.
