Islamabad/London: Cricketer-turned politician Imran Khan has hinted that he may get "third time lucky" in marriage even though he does not have a good track record in this respect.
"I can't give you the best advice about marriage because I don't have a very good track record. Maybe third time likely," the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman told guests at a family friend's daughter's wedding ceremony in London.
Khan, 64, took to the stage to congratulate the newly weds and on the topic of his marriage he hopes he "may be third time lucky," Dawn reported.
He had earlier said that the idea of marrying for the third time is "more open than before".
He joked about his previous marriages -- to Jemima Goldsmith in 1995 and Reham Khan in 2015 -- and said that he can't give the couple the best advice about marriage given his history, but he wished them all the best anyway.
Taking another jab at himself he said he hopes their marriage is more successful than his.
The crowd greeted his joke with hoots and cheers during his speech.
Khan's third marriage has been speculated for sometime now. Earlier rumours had surfaced of him tying the knot in London in a sneaky ceremony, however, they proved to be false.
