New Delhi: Priyank Kirit Panchal is another promising Indian batsman to make whole country aware of his talents through terrific displays in the Ranji Trophy. The Gujrat openerhas now become the first cricketer from his state to score a tripe century in First Class cricket as he remained unbeaten on 314 on day two of the Ranji Trophy Group A match against Punjab.
Facing 460 balls Priyank registered 32 fours in the process, eclipsing Mukund Parmar’s previous record of 283 to become the first triple centurion from the state.
This isn't the first occasion when Panchal has scored such a huge score in current Ranji season. During the last matcha against Mumbai, he bagged a 232 and 56.

Even Indian wicket-keeper, Parthiv Patel congratulated Priyank on such a huge achievement.
Courtesy his monumental triple ton, Gujarat declared their first innings at 624 for six after putting 281 at the loss of two wickets on Day 1.
Punjab were 20 for one in six overs at stumps on day two with opener Jiwanjot Singh the victim.
Bhargav Merai (65), Rijul Bhatt (60), Rush Kalaria (60 not out) and stand in skipper Axar Patel (65 not out) were the other Gujarat batsmen to lend Priyank Panchal a hand in registering a terrific total.
Punjab were bowled out on 247 in first innings, with Manan Vohra the top scorer with 68 runs.
