The Israeli army on Wednesday killed the Hebron area chief of the Ezzedine Al Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the radical Islamic group Hamas, the group said in a statement.
The group said Akram Sudki Al Atrash, 30, was killed when the Israeli army blew up a house he was hiding out in in the village of Dura, to the south of Hebron, which has been occupied by Israeli troops for two days.
A Hamas suicide bomber blew up a bus on the outskirts of Haifa in northern Israel earlier on Wednesday, killing eight people apart from himself. Bureau Report
