Is Kathy Griffin to take over for Joan Rivers on 'Fashion Police'?

Washington: Kathy Griffin may replace Joan Rivers on ' Fashion Police' as the comedienne is reportedly amongst the shortlist of names being considered for the show.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, though no talks have been held yet, the 53-year-old funny woman, who was really good friends with the late comedy icon, would be a panelist on the E! show when it resumes in 2015 if it worked out.

The controversial panel show, which is produced by Rivers' daughter Melissa Rivers and was put on a halt after the star died earlier in September, featured a special 90-minute tribute to Rivers recently, which drew a record 1.1 million viewers in the US.
