Paris, Feb 14: The French Tennis Federation (FFT) has warned Davis Cup captain Guy Forget over his future conduct following comments he made after France's victory over Croatia last weekend. In a statement yesterday the FFT said it ''unanimously asked the French Davis cup captain to stick to his duties and restrict his comments to the mission he has been commissioned to''.
Forget had complained there was ''a campaign against him and against all those who are on the court,'' after the 4-1 first round win.
''I felt under pressure... It's something I can't let go. If we had not won the tie, there would have been only one person responsible -- me,'' he said in a news conference.
''Christian Bimes (the FFT president) will not like what I said,'' he added.
The next day, the FFT said in a statement that it was ''surprised and disappointed by the unjustified criticism'' expressed by Forget”.
Forget was not available for comment yesterday. Bureau Report
