Washington: Robbie Williams was left embarrassed after he confidently greeted his audience saying 'Good Evening Zagreb,' which is the capital of Croatia, while he was actually performing in Serbia.

The 41-year-old singer, who was performing in Belgrade on the latest leg of his European tour, left his 33,000 fans, who were present for the gig, slightly shocked, however, his performance quickly won them over, the Mirror reported.

He sung a good night song on a video link to his 8-month-old son Charlton Valentine.

Williams had also called a girl from the crowd on stage to join him a song which garnered him a kiss and huge applause, and a fan wrote on social media "We love Robbie so much we forgive you."

The singer too later took to Twitter and apologized saying "I don't know what I was expecting, but I wasn't expecting that. You were amazing tonight, can't wait to come back x."

The confusion might have happened as the 'Let Me Entertain You' star has already appeared in Spain, France, Lithuania, Latvia, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Slovakia, Austria and Tel Aviv as part of his tour.
