Islamabad, Nov 21: Dismissing suggestions that
China, a close ally of Pakistan, is warming upto India, President Pervez Musharraf has said there is no chance of any "lessening" of Sino-Pak ties.
During an interaction with editors of Pakistani media here last night, Musharraf, who last month visited China, referred to reports in newspapers here in this regard and said
"When I discussed Sino-India relations, they said with New Delhi it is diplomacy while with Islamabad it is friendship".
"This," Musharraf said "clearly speaks how the Chinese leaders value China's relations with Pakistan". He said "our relations with China are time-tested and Beijing has been offering tremendous cooperation and assistance to Pakistan's progress and prosperity. We must
never let anyone cast any aspersion on our ties with China".
