Jim Parsons to join Broadway's 'An Act of God'

Los Angeles: 'The Big Bang Theory' star Jim Parsons is all set to join the Broadway cast of 'An Act of God' where he will play the Almighty.

The play is an adaptation of a 2011 humor book 'The Last Testament: A Memoir by God' by David Javerbaum. Parsons's God will be joined by two angels onstage but the production is yet to reveal the cast, according to the Ace Showbiz.

The play will be directed by Joe Mantello while 'The Elephant Man' Jeffrey Finn, is the producer.

The show is set to start on May 5 at the Studio 54 theater. It is not the first time that Parsons has done theatre. He has been on Broadway stage for 'Harvey' and 'The Normal Heart'.
