New Pak envoy arrives as Delhi snubs Musharraf: The Hindustan Times
New Delhi, July 01: Pakistan`s High Commissioner-designate Aziz Ahmed Khan crossed over across the Wagah border on Monday and was in New Delhi by the evening. His arrival marked the first step in the restoration of full diplomatic ties with Pakistan on a day when New Delhi firmly rejected President Pervez Musharraf`s suggestion that it should show the kind of flexibility on Jammu and Kashmir that it had done in the case of Tibet.

His arrival marked the first step in the restoration of full diplomatic ties with Pakistan on a day when New Delhi firmly rejected President Pervez Musharraf's suggestion that it should show the kind of flexibility on Jammu and Kashmir that it had done in the case of Tibet.
There is "no similarity" between the two, the Ministry of External Affairs said. "Our position that Tibetan autonomous region is part of the territory of the People's Republic of China has been consistent for nearly five decades," the MEA spokesman said.
