New Delhi: If rumours are to be believed, the team of ‘3 Idiots’ is likely to make another film together very soon.
Buzz has it that Aamir Khan has agreed to do Rajkumar Hirani`s next film which will be produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
Apparently, after the stupendous success of ‘3 Idiots’, Aamir was keen to team up with Hirani for another film. The duo was waiting for a good script to come their way and it seems now that they have finally narrowed down on a script.
Speaking to a daily, a source informed, "It`s basically a slice-of-life story told in a satirical manner with the kind of comedy that Raju is known for.”
What more! The film will also star Sharman Joshi who co starred with Aamir in ‘3 Idiots’. Sharman is also familiar with Hirani and Chopra’s style of working. In fact the actor is playing the lead role in ‘Ferrari Ki Sawari’ which is being helmed by Hirani`s erstwhile assistant Rajesh Mapuskar.
"And not to forget, Aamir and Sharman are quite good friends having worked together in ‘Rang De Basanti’ and ‘3 Idiots’,” added the source.
So does that mean that the third part of cult comedy ‘Munnabhai’ series is on hold? "Raju`s the kind of director who won`t begin his movie until he`s sure of the script”, a source said.
And since another script fell into place, they decided to go ahead with this for now. In the meanwhile, writing of the third Munnabhai film will continue till they lock the script."
However, the film’s shooting isn`t likely to start so soon. The director is planning to start this film in the latter half of 2012.
"Just like Sharman is busy, Aamir too is preoccupied with the Reema Kagti-directed suspense thriller. Besides, he`s going to start working for ‘Dhoom 3’ around January next year. Raju, too, is busy overseeing the direction of Ferrari... When all three are done with their prior commitments, they will start working on their next venture together," the source said.
