Mumbai, Apr 29: In a move to nip the growing flesh trade in the city, police today arrested around 11 girls, including 10 foreign nationals, from two separate hotels in posh-Colaba area of south-Mumbai for allegedly being involved in prostitution. Acting on information, a police team raided the hotels, including a five-star, leading to the arrest, police said.
While nine foreign girls were held from one hotel, two were arrested from another.
The foreign nationals hailing from Uzbekisthan and Kazaksthan were in the age group of 18-30, police said adding that some of those nabbed were students looking for extra pocket money while others appeared to be regular commercial sex workers.
The girls would be produced before a local court later today.
