Mumbai: Troubled star Vivek Oberoi is trying too hard to sustain in Bollywood post the pungas he took against bigwig Salman Khan. The actor is gung-ho about getting into the skin of his character for his upcoming flick `Zilla Ghaziabad` also starring Sanjay Dutt. Vivek is essaying the role of real life gangster Satbir Gujjar and is keen to pay a visit to Tihar Jail to know more about a gangster’s attitude towards life. Vivek had earlier played Chhota Rajan in `Company’ and Maya Dolas in `Shootout at Lokhandwala`. And this is for the third time that he will be portrayed as a gangster. Talking to a tabloid, a source said, “Since the very beginning of his career, Vivek has gone out of his way to understand the character he has to essay. He spent time in slums to understand Chandu in Company. He did a lot of research and met cops for his role as Maya in Shootout.” “However, the actor was stunned when one of the production unit members got a call from a prisoner in Tihar jail, demanding to meet Vivek. The caller felt that Vivek was the right choice to play Satbir and wished to provide more information on the gangster,” added the source. Apparently, the caller was keen to meet Vivek, which is why the actor decided to make it to Tihar. “He went on to say that he will try getting out of jail on parole and meet Vivek. On hearing this, Vivek decided to visit Tihar jail some time next month and meet that person.” Confirming the news, Vivek said, “I am intrigued to meet someone who knows Satbir closely and believes in me. I would surely go and try meeting him soon.”
