Manama, Nov 08: The British Embassy in Bahrain warned citizens today of "a high threat from terrorism" directed against western targets in the small Gulf kingdom. "We judge that there is a high threat from terrorism against western, including British, targets," said a travel advisory posted on the embassy's website.
"We are particularly concerned about potential threats to places where westerners might gather," it said.
The warning of possible terror attacks in Bahrain, which is home to the US Navy's Fifth Fleet, came as all US missions in Saudi Arabia closed Saturday for security reviews after warning of a serious threat of attacks there.
Britain, Canada and Australia have also advised citizens to defer non-essential travel to Saudi Arabia, citing the threat of possibly imminent terror attacks.
