Mumbai: Child artiste Swini Khara of `Cheeni Kum` fame, who is all geared up for her up-coming horror film `Kaalo`, was scared when she saw `Kaalo`, the witch.
"I was really scared when I saw `Kaalo` on the sets. The way the witch looks, the voice everything was scary. I amsure everyone will be scared seeing the film," Swini told reporters.
Directed by Wilson Louis, `Kaalo`, India`s first creature film, is based on a Rajasthani folktale, the story revolves around a desert witch by the same name. It is about a deadly witch who attacks a bus in the deserts of Rajasthan and wants to kill a young girl, essayed by Swini.
Recalling one of her scariest scenes in the film, Swini said, "There is a scene when a bus is travelling in a full speed, suddenly the brakes fail and it gets crashed, injuring all the passengers. The way it is shot it looks scary because of the sound and camera work."
In real life, the 12-year-old young actress, who is scared of cockroaches, said, "I play the role of Shona, a clever and witty girl travelling alone to her grandmother`s house. Everyone loves her especially the reclusive Sameer (Aditya Shrivastav), who was travelling with a bag loaded with gun powder to blast a small hillock."
The blood-thirsty Kaalo could smell the girl from miles away and heads straight for the bus. "Soon Shona becomes the very reason for dying. Everyone wants her out of the bus.
But for Sameer it does not matter if Kaalo was a creature or a witch. All he knew was to protect Shona," she added. The film hits cinema houses tomorrow.
Swini has lent her voice for Nikhil Advani`s animated film, `Delhi Safari`. "I have done the voice over part. There are couple of offers for both TV serials and films but nothing yet is finalised," she said.
