Ketan Mehta, Subhash Ghai join hands to start animation studio

Mumbai: Filmmaker Ketan Mehta`s Maya Digital Media and Producer-Director Subhash Ghai`s Mukta Arts, are going to set up computer animation and digital visual effects studio in India.

"In a bid to keep pace with the latest technology, Maya Digital Media has joined hands with Mukta Arts to create computer animation and digital visual effects studio `Maya Digital Studios Pvt Ltd`," said Ketan Mehta in a statement here. "The synergy between Maya and Mukta Arts will bring about qualitative change in Indian film industry. Technology and creativity is going to drive the future of entertainment and this studio will be at the cutting edge of this trend for India," Ravi Gupta of Mukta Arts said. Mehta has signed Frank Foster, American computer graphics veteran, who is a pioneer of computer animation and VFX in Hollywood, to head Maya Digital Studios. PTI
