Manish Malhotra to design for Kareena, Hrithik in `Shuddhi`

Mumbai: Fashion designer Manish Malhotra is set to design costumes for actors Kareena Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan in Karan Malhotra`s period drama `Shuddhi`.

"Manish Malhotra is designing the costumes of Hrithik and Kareena for `Shuddhi`. Since it`s a period drama a lot of detailing will be done in terms of costumes," Karan Malhotra said. The film is apparently set in period of 1920s and 1960s and the director says a lot of research work is going on. "A lot of research work is going on but I can`t reveal the exact eras in which the film will be shot. It`s too early for that. Basically, it`s a love story," said Karan, who last directed 2012 released film `Agneepath`. From the sexy sarees to the daring dresses, Manish has previously styled Bollywood actresses including Karisma Kapoor, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor and Urmila Matondkar.
