Dearborn (Michigan), July 25: A single-engine airplane flew over President George W. Bush's motorcade at a low altitude in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At about noon (2130 hrs IST) yesterday, as the motorcade of some 50 automobiles, including the President's limousine, was traveling on a major artery, the small plane buzzed overhead from right to left at an altitude less than 100 metres.
A police helicopter pursued the plane at a short distance. The scene was clearly visible from the vehicles in the motorcade.
Bush was in Philadelphia for a speech on the economy. He was headed for the airport on his way to Dearborn for another speech and to participate in a fund-raiser for the November 2004 elections. Bureau Report
