New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar, well known for playing negative characters in movies is critically ill. He is reportedly admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai.

The 64-year-old actor who was last seen in 'Bombay Talkies' has been admitted due to a lung infection and is currently in the ICU. He was admitted after complaining about severe pain in the chest. He has been in the hospital for two weeks now, a leading daily reported.

Amrapurkar is acclaimed for his work in Marathi and Hindi Cinema. He won Filmfare Award for 'Ardh Satya' for Best Supporting Actor and was the first to be awarded the Best Performance in a Negative Role in 1991 for 'Sadak'.

Apart from films, Amrapurkar is known for his involvement in social causes. We wish him a speedy recovery.
