Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has claimed that she has beaten drug addiction and has not touched narcotics "in almost three years".

London: Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has claimed that she has beaten drug addiction and has not touched narcotics "in almost three years". The ``Back to Black`` singer has been in and out of hospitals and rehab over the past year due to a history of substance abuse that included near-fatal overdoses, reported Contactmusic.
"I`m much healthier now. I used to use drugs and I haven``t used drugs in almost three years. It`s not a hard thing. I literally woke up one day and was like, ``I don`t want to do this anymore,``" she said. The 25-year-old hitmaker visited the Caribbean region in 2008 in an attempt to rid herself of the habit and returned to London eight months later insisting she was clean. PTI
