Mumbai, July 30: Security at both the domestic and international terminals of Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport here was further beefed up today after about 100 Shiv Sainiks held demonstrations at the domestic terminal. The Shiv Sainiks, who along with the BJP had called for a Mumbai bandh, tried to persuade the loaders and other staff belonging to unions affiliated to the party to join the bandh.
"No flights were affected nor passengers faced any problem during this period," an airport official said. Some of those who participated in the demonstration had regular airport entry passes and there was no disruption of any kind, the official added.
Air-India, Indian Airlines and Jet Airways today operated some of their flights as per revised schedule due to the bandh. Bureau Report
