Washington: A US judge has revoked singer Chris Brown`s probation for beating Rihanna in the wake of a new hit-and-run charge earlier this year.
Brown, who was on probation following pleading guilty to assault after he hit former girlfriend and fellow pop star Rihanna in 2009, may face time in prison now. According to TMZ, after his probation was revoked in an attempt by the prosecutors in Los Angeles, the 24-year-old was not taken into custody but was ordered to appear in court in August. The judge will then decide if he did violate the terms or not. A spokesman for Brown told the publication that Van Nuys , the lawyer for the driver in the hit and run case, clearly specified that his client did not want to press charges, that any damage was "negligible" and that the rapper did identify himself at the scene and that she was given all of the appropriate insurance information. He said that they are hopeful that the case will be dismissed next week. Meanwhile, Brown took over to Tweeter on the day of the court hearing, saying that he did everything he was suppose to do during the so called hit and run. He wrote that he provided the correct info and that there were no injuries or damages. He also thanked his fans for their support. ANI
