A costume assistant was arrested and later released on bail after he confessed to recording videos of a TV actress in her changing room in a bungalow in Madh Island, reports suggest.
Mumbai: A costume assistant was arrested and later released on bail after he confessed to recording videos of a TV actress in her changing room in a bungalow in Madh Island, reports suggest.
The 24-year-old accused - Abdul Qayyum Ansari – had strategically placed his cell phone in the record mode in the changing room of the TV actress. When the actress in question spotted the phone, she was shocked to see videos of her stored in it.
She raised an alarm, called the crew and confronted Ansari before lodging a complaint with the police.
The actress who is a member of the artists' association feared that the videos could be misused and hence sought help from the police to bring the culprit to book.
The police registered a complaint under Section 354 (C) of IPC against Ansari.
