Washington, Feb 14: The United States has barred two Saudi Arabian Airlines pilots from flying in the country saying they pose a "security threat." The two men, Maan Hassan Zarie and Tarek Hassan Jifry, said they would appeal the decision. This is the first test of a new rule that allows the US authorities to take away flying licences without disclosing any evidence. The Transportation Security Administration's cases against the two pilots stem from the agency's new responsibility to conduct threat assessments of all pilots, mechanics and flight instructors authorized to work or fly in the US.
