Marijuana should be made legal: Kelly Clarkson

Los Angeles: Singer Kelly Clarkson says she fails to understand why marijuana is not legal but alcohol is.

The 32-year-old singer, who has an eight-month old daughter with husband Brandon Blackstock, does not think it makes sense that alcohol and other 'controlled narcotic substances' are permitted but smoking weed is not, reported Us magazine.

"I cannot understand the fact that controlled narcotic substances and alcohol are legal and weed isn't. How many people do you know who have died from weed? My point exactly," she said.
