Jaish leader Azhar collects large funds in Lahore
Islamabad, Nov 01: Chief of the banned Jaish-e-Muhammad, Maulana Masood Azhar has collected money running into millions of rupees during Friday religious congregations in Lahore yesterday, for funding militant activities in Jammu and Kashmir, media reports said today.

Azhar, who has changed the name of his outfit to Tehrik
Khuddamul Islam (TKI) was given millions of rupees by
businessmen from Lahore's posh and industrial areas for
"Mujahideen fighters" operating in Kashmir, Pakistan newspaper
said in a report from Lahore.
Azhar said he would personally deliver the donations to
the "Mujahideen", it reported and quoted Azhar's aide as
saying that "he (Azhar) took four sacks full of rupees with
him.
Before collecting funds, Azhar delivered a Friday sermon
at a mosque asking his audience to help the Kashmiri
"Mujahideen."
