Wankhede brawl: Mamata backs Shah Rukh

New Delhi: Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Bannerjee has requested the Mumbai Cricket Association to revert the ban that it has imposed on Shah Rukh Khan. The MCA, on Friday, imposed a 5 year long ban on SRK from entering the Wankhede Stadium as a result of a scuffle that had taken place between the actor and MCA officials at the stadium on Wednesday night. In a statement issued to the media, the Chief Minister said, “Shah Rukh Khan is the brand ambassador of West Bengal. I would request the MCA to revert the ban that has been imposed on him.” Mamata further stated that it was he was there to pick up his children and that it was all “a misunderstanding.”
