Konkona Sen gleams in love as she turns 29

The Critics darling, 'Page 3' beauty Konkana Sen Sharma celebrates her 29th birthday on Wednesday.

After essaying the role of a disconsolate journalist in the award winning flick ‘Page 3’, there has been no looking back for the much talented actress Konkona Sen Sharma. Her charm and charisma have worked wonders for her films ‘Mr and Mrs Iyer’, ‘Amu’, ‘Life In A Metro’ and so forth. Born on 3 December, 1979 to Mukul Sharma a writer-journalist and actor-writer-director Aparna Sen, Konkana has adapted many qualities of both her father and mother. Konkona graduated in English, from St. Stephen`s College, Delhi in 2001. She was a student of the Modern High School for Girls, Calcutta, as well as the Calcutta International School. Koko (nickname) became a known face when she starred in the film ‘Mr and Mrs. Iyer’, directed by her mother. She became a darling amongst the critics, her performance got her the National Film Award for Best Actress. This dusky lass hit the bulls-eye with her brilliant performance in ‘Page 3’. What followed next were power-packed, author-backed roles and astounding performances. She’s reported to be engaged to actor Ranvir Shorey, who rose from the stature of a struggling actor to a hot star after he delivered some noteworthy performances in ‘Life In A Metro’ and ‘Mythya’. Now, that’s certainly a mast Bollywood jodi in making. Unlike, the regular Bollywood celeb couples like Saifeena, John-Bipasha and Lara-Dino they chose to close guard their ‘private’ affair and not mint money by publicising it.
