Godrej consumer products posts 8 pc rise in profit
Mumbai, July 22: Godrej Consumer Products Ltd has posted an eight per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 13.8 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2003 as compared to Rs 12.8 crore for the April-June 2002.
Mumbai, July 22: Godrej Consumer Products Ltd has posted an eight per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 13.8 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2003 as compared to Rs 12.8 crore for the April-June 2002.
The board has recommended 50 per cent interim dividend (Rs two per share of Rs four each) for the current financial year ending March 2004, the company said in a release here today.
The net sales for the reporting quarter were up by three per cent at Rs 117.9 crore as compared to Rs 114.9 crore in the Q1 of 2002-03, the release said.
The results were satisfactory despite the impact of transport strike and uncertainty associated with VAT implementation, it said. Bureau Report
