London: Indian beauty Koyal Rana is giving a tough competition to 121 contestants across the world vying for the Miss World title, which will be announced tonight in a grand ceremony here.
21-year-old Jaipur-born Rana completed her international finance course at Harvard University. She is also a skilled dancer, specifically contemporary and semi-classical disciplines.
Rana is an active social worker and has an NGO, which focuses on encouraging green energy production and awareness campaigns for health and legal issues.
This year's Miss World pageant has 'Beauty with a Purpose' contest under which each contestant is judged on the impact she makes working with nonprofits, or starting her own, in the poorer parts of the world.
Miss World pageant returned to the British capital city for the 2014 edition after its inception 63 years ago. The events started from November 20, culminating in the grand finale tonight.
Priyanka Chopra was the last winner of the coveted title in 2000. Filipino beauty Megan Young was the winner of Miss World 2013.
