New Delhi, Feb 25: Congress today walked out of the Lok Sabha demanding resignation of Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani and his ministerial colleague Murli Manohar Joshi in the Babri Masjid demolition case. Demanding suspension of the Question Hour in Lok Sabha to discuss the issue, Congress chief whip Priyaranjan Dasmunsi said a "serious kind of manipulation" was on to suppress the case. Alleging that the office of the Deputy Prime Minister was being misused, Dasmunsi said, "Both Advani and Joshi should step down to ensure a free and fair trial." Dasmunsi was supported by members of the Samajwadi Party.
Speaker Manohar Joshi rejected Dasmunsi`s notice for suspension of the Question Hour and said the matter could be taken up during Zero Hour.
The Lok Sabha is scheduled to discuss the Ayodhya Issue tomorrow.
