Johnny Depp to play the wizard in the ‘Wizard of Oz’

London: Johnny Depp has reportedly been chosen to play the Wizard of Oz.

The 47-year-old is lined up for the lead role in upcoming movie Oz, The Great And Powerful, a movie about the wizard’s early years. Depp will replace Robert Downey Junior, 45, who had been chose before him. “Johnny is in pole position to play the Wizard. He’s a huge fan of the original Wizard Of Oz film so it will be a dream role for him to finally play,” the Daily Express quoted a close pal as saying. ANI
