New Delhi, Dec 01: Poonam Azad, BJP's nominee against Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, today alleged that Congress men were "intimidating" voters and had specially hired musclemen from Punjab and Haryana for the purpose.
Poonam, after casting her vote in Gole Market constituency along with cricketer-turned-politician husband Kirti Azad, told reporters that her supporters were being "threatened" by rival party workers.
"Congress has brought people from Punjab and Haryana. Even some ministers of Punjab are roaming about and terrorising people in my constituency," she alleged. Kirti azad alleged that a number of "bogus voters" had been included in the electoral list and names of several of BJP supporters were missing. A complaint has been lodged with the returning officer in this regard, he said.
