Charlotte Church says she`d rather poke her eyes out than join X Factor

London: Welsh musician Charlotte Church, who was asked to join the X Factor judging panel, has turned down the offer, saying that she`d rather poke her eyes out with sticks than be a part of the show that kills music.

` The Prayer ` singer announced via Twitter that she was asked to join the show as a judge, but she refused, the Daily Express reported. According to Popjustice, when Church was asked if she had considered the offer from ITV, she revealed that she had a meeting with the bosses to ask about her level of involvement in the creative process, but they said none, unless it was in line with the show`s format. Church later told the publication that she had politely declined the job, where she would have no doubt received a hefty sum of money. ANI
