David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson to return in 'X-Files' reboot

Washington: Fox network bringing back the iconic drama series 'The X-Files.'

Gary Newman, chairman of the network said confirmed that there would be a new installment of Chris Carter's cult supernatural drama, which would see the return of original leading duo David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, Deadline.com reported.

Fellow chairman Dana Walden said that there had been no creative discussions as of yet, and the conversations have been only logistical, trying to figure out dates when creator Carter and stars Duchovny and Anderson were available.

The network had also revealed plans to do another '24,' which may not feature the franchise's signature Jack Bauer character.
